Affiliate links
Some links to products are affiliate links. If you sign up or buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Current or planned partners:

How affiliate links work here:
- Every affiliate link goes through a transparent
/go/[partner]link on our domain and is markedrel="sponsored nofollow". Links are labelled "Sponsored · (affiliate link)". - When you click one, we log only the link slug, the page and the time. No personal data (no IP address, cookie ID or user ID) is stored with the click.
- The partner may set its own cookies after you land on its site; its privacy policy applies.
- We don't quote partners' fees or exchange rates, or make pass-rate or salary claims we can't cite.
Display ads
We show ads served by Google AdSense on content pages only, never on sales, checkout or legal pages and never inside AI answers. We don't choose the individual ads. EU and UK visitors see non-personalised ads only. See our Privacy Policy and how Google uses data.
Sponsored placements, listing upgrades and newsletter sponsors
- Sponsored placements on state-directory and preparer-record pages are labelled: "Sponsored. Paid placement; not a ranking or recommendation."
- Listing upgrades appear in a box labelled: "Information supplied by the business (paid listing upgrade). Not checked by TaxProsRated and doesn't affect order or answers."
- Newsletter sponsors are labelled Sponsored at the top of the item.
Paid spots are always kept separate from rankings, ratings and AI answers. We never sell better positions or "verified" or "top-rated" badges. We don't accept sponsors offering loans, refund advances, debt relief or "IRS settlement" services.
Our own products
The AI assistant may show one "From TaxProsRated" card below its sources for our own report, pack, calculator or subscription. That card is ours, not an ad from someone else, and it never changes the answer.
Editorial independence
- Software ratings follow our published methodology. Commissions don't change scores, and we may rate a partner poorly or cover products we earn nothing from.
- Advertisers and partners don't see or approve our content before it's published.
- Being linked or featured isn't an endorsement. Nothing on the Site is tax, legal or financial advice, and we are not a lender.
