How we verify every figure
Every tax rate, threshold, and rule on this site is traced to a primary source - PwC Worldwide Tax Summaries, the OECD, and national tax authorities (the IRS, HMRC, the ATO, the CRA, and their counterparts). We record the source and the date each figure was verified, and we show an “as of” or “last verified” date wherever the figure appears.
Each figure is cross-checked against a second authority before it ships. Where a jurisdiction sits outside the main references - as some microstates do - we name the specialist source in-line, so you can see exactly where a number comes from rather than taking it on trust.
What we do not do
- We do not give personalized tax advice. TaxPros Rated is an informational publisher, not a tax adviser; our guides summarize public rules and route you to a qualified professional for your own situation.
- We do not claim licensed-professional review. Our editors are researchers and writers, and we make no representation that a CPA, enrolled agent, or attorney has reviewed a page for your circumstances.
- We do not invent credentials or guarantee outcomes. Authority here comes from transparent sourcing and dated figures, not titles.
Freshness and corrections
Tax rules change. Each page carries the date its figures were last verified, and we re-check on a rolling basis. If you spot something out of date or wrong, use the report link on any content page or our corrections page - we triage within 72 hours and publish a note when we materially change a claim.
AI-assisted drafting
Some pages are drafted with AI assistance from cited public sources, then verified figure-by-figure by a named editor before publishing. See how we rate for the full disclosure, and meet the editor behind these guides, Nadia Brennan.
