API Terms

These terms cover the TaxProsRated tax-rate data API (the "API") run by Aurum Transfers Limited (Jamaica). They add to our Terms of Use.
1. The data
The API provides tax rates taken from government sources. Each rate comes with its source and an as-of date. Rates can change without notice and we may not have the latest change.
2. As-is, no accuracy guarantee, not for filing
The API and data are provided as is, with no guarantee of accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Don't use the data to file returns or as tax advice. If you show the data to others, you must show the source and as-of date and say it's an estimate for information only.
3. Keys and limits
Keep your API key secret. You're responsible for use under your key. We set rate limits for each plan (free tier about 100 requests per month; paid plans as set out in your order) and may suspend keys used abusively.
4. What you can't do
- No resale: don't resell, sublicense or redistribute the data as a dataset or competing API.
- Don't remove source or as-of information, or present the data as your own guarantee.
- Don't try to get around limits or scrape the Site instead.
5. Fees
Plans are [price]/[period], in USD, tax-exclusive (taxes may apply where required), sold by Aurum Transfers Limited (trading as TaxProsRated) and paid through PayPal under our Sales Terms, including its list of countries where paid products are available. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancel online anytime, access to period end.
6. Liability
Our total liability for the API is capped at the fees you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect loss, tax penalties or decisions based on the data. You'll cover our losses from your use of the data in your products.
7. Changes and ending
We may change, version or retire endpoints with reasonable notice, and may suspend access for breach. Jamaican law applies.
